Legal Seafoods is a restaurant sewn into the fibers of successful, Massachusetts based businesses. First opening in 1904 in Cambridge’s Inman Square by Founder Harry Berkowtiz, under the watchful eye, and aggressive pursuit of his son, George and later his son, Roger, Legal Seafoods eventually grew into a portfolio of 25 restaurants along the eastern seaboard – stretching from Northern Massachusetts, all the way to Southern Florida. In 2020, the majority of the portfolio was sold to PPX Hospitality Brands. With that purchase came new updates to their sign and awning program. Pictured here is the Downtown Crossing location in Boston, MA. Lafuente was contracted to recover the existing frame. Within an 8 day turnaround, our team removed the frame, disposed of the fabric, cleaned and repainted the frame, applied the new fabric, hand-painted the graphics and re-installed the frame.
