The shipping containers, turned pop-up souvenir shop, is located on Boston’s Jersey Street – directly across from America’s most beloved ballpark, Fenway Park. The container belongs to the D’Angelo family – owner’s of the premier sports lifestyle brand, ’47. Founded in 1947 by two Italian-American, twin, immigrant brothers – Arthur and Henry D’Angelo – the two brothers started by selling pennants from a street cart near Fenway Park. The company has grown significantly over the last 7 decades, securing major licensing deals with the MLB, NFL, NBA, NHL and over 600 Colleges and Universities. The D’Angelo family called Lafuente because they needed a unique shade and marketing solution for the metal shipping container that you see pictured. We were able to custom design, manufacture and install the awning frame using steel tubing and our signature acrylic fabric, along with custom, digitally printed sign panels installed above the awning.
