‘The Tower’ is one of Boston’s most photographed landmarks. Located in Boston’s Back Bay neighborhood, this entrance canopy rests along a castle boasting thick granite walls, a moat, and a drawbridge. This awning represents a prime example of how modern awning design concepts can coincide with historical buildings – while not compromising the aesthetic of either. This awning was primarily design to provide protection from the elements – allowing patrons to walk nearly 80’ from the sidewalk to the castle entrance, fully sheltered.
